Still Full Speed

My posts are becoming few and far between. I may place this blog on hiatus to start another..specifically for music.

We had a great meeting for BTV on Friday. Might have a brand new balcony for our show and EVERYONE will love it. We find out for sure Monday so fingers and toes crossed people!

I participated in a CRAZY intense semi-automatic gun CHL yesterday. It was taught by member of the Israeli special forces unit and went WAY beyond what they normally teach you. I qualified for my CHL with a Glock, meaning I'm "fairly" proficient in loading, charging, firing multi targets, clearing 2 types of jams, covering distance(sprinting with a loaded weapon), kneeling and changing magazine etc. It was intense. We practiced 4 hours of dry fire and 4 hours Live. Imagine you aiming at your target and being pushed from behind, having to regain you balance and hit your desired area. Or running full speed towards your target, stomping to regain footing on gravel and firing with a high heart rate. WOW..

I was TERRIFIED at first. I've only really worked with my revolver. Sure I have shot semi-auto's but only in a small indoor range with zero movement. This was beyond nuts!Having a loaded semi-automatic weapon tucked into my hip. YIKES! My confidence soared as I overcame my fears through hours of repetition and drills. Unfortunately were out in 100 degrees with no cover, working for 4-5 hours. I drank about a gallon of water and 2 Gatorade...never peed once. DEHYDRATED! Still...it was fantastic. The instructor was mega hot! Read about him here!

Pics to come.

Oh..I'm back on paleo!

Why did he do it though? It's not like you're being recruited to some special forces team are you?

Why would people like that let ordinary people work with loaded guns?

Or am I missing the point?

Great to see you're doing well.

Take care and best wishes.

:-) :-).
