ACL Day 3

I finally had the hang of this routine by the last day. There was a quiet calm with some sadness that it was ending. For all it's chaos, heat and stress...ACL was just a beautiful experience for me. LOVED the people, artists and excitement.

THIS is what I want.

Day started off calm, got a juice from Daily juice, then eggs and coffee at Austin Java. YUM! I studied my two interviews and played words with friends with the boy:)
Press tent didn't open til 11am so I had ample time to dick around. First interview was at 12:30pm, Nick 13--lead from the band Tiger Army who was working on his solo project. He was dressed to kill but must have been sweltering in the humidity.

Knocked out that interview and walked over the the Rock the Vote Party again. Made connections, did a blog interview with an Xbox Rep. Then I got my hair blown out for free next to Many Chao La Ventura who was partaking of the free tattoos. He got two- What a badass! He was REAL sweet though:)I ran into Lee Ann (BTV Host) with her BF Zeale Rapz.




I raced over to the Awolnation stage, bullshitted my way backstage and watched the first 3 songs from the stage. Looks at this crowd?




THEY LOVE AWOL! Austin basically launched their career..rather Toby Ryan helped launch their career. Check out this sweet video....



After 3 songs I had to haul majah ass back to press lounge for the final interview with Little Hurricane. I was running late and couldn't go fast due to massive bloody blisters. I found a cart dude who happily drove me there. Upon getting out of the cart my bra strap popped and there went my boob. AWSM. We did a quick fix and I raced into the tend for our interview. 4 min before tape rolled a bird shits on my hand....Really? About 10 people tell me this is "Good Luck". Interview went great, loved their energy!

I was done son! I packed up and started to walk back to my car. POP! My bra strap breaks again and this time I'm fucked! Luckily JIMMY the pedicab was there and he fixed the strap with a zip lock! I then employed him to take me to my car. He was really dehydrated so I loaded him up with NUUN tablets and an electrolyte packet.

What a day. So so grateful for this experience.
