Sleep, It's Whats for Breakfast!

Nope....Barbara was not cranking away at her planned spin/weights session this morning. She was sleeping--rather trying to catch up on much needed Zzzzzzz's. You see dear readers, I live in the Ghetto(::::in the ghetto:::chorus).I arrived home yesterday to find two cop cars outside MY BUILDING!!! WTF!?!?!?!?!!? What in all that is chocolate and holy is going on?!?!?!!? The car gets parked, I grab my moving boxes and get to serious packing. I'M DONE WITH THIS HELL HOLE!

At bedtime I try to relax and remember all of Mel's kickass advice posted here and here, then my downstairs neighbors start playing beats. Those beats lasted until 2:45am and weren't loud enough to warrant a noise call. They WERE loud enough to be heard through my pillow...all...night..morning...I HATE YOU!

Am I moody? Slightly.

I move next week and pray to GOD that it's quieter there.

This would be why I opted for sleep in lieu of a workout.Whats really sad is that the complex didn't even call me for a statement regarding the break-in I discovered at the gym. They just assume it's normal at this point.

TGIF and maybe a Valium.

Edit~Paleo Question. Dried fruit seems to be allowed in the book yet Crystal said it's best to steer clear. What say you? I've cut it out but look at it longingly when I'm in the work kitchen. It sits in a bowl and says"Eat me"!

Perhaps I should just stick to my fresh fruit.

Glad you got some rest Barb!

Dried fruit...EEK! It's one of those things where you will eat 1 apple or banana or 2 bags of dried fruit?? At least for me...can't control the dried stuff :)

Dried fruit is like concentrated sugar, my darling. Wouldn't you rather eat a nice, big, plumped up with water apple, then one bite of a dried fruit?

You can certainly eat dried fruit, but the servings are WAY small and it is like a sugar bomb.

Alrighty then..no dried fruit it is.

Dried fruit is high GI. Dates rank about 105. The GI system was originally based on a 50g dose of pure Glucose, (GI100). So Dates have an even bigger impact than pure sugar energy, when comparing the exact same amounts of course.

The only difference is, you'd get slightly slower Breakdown than liquid Glucose / dextrose drinks, but potentially the impact would therefore last longer, although not be so quick to happen.

All in all, still not great to eat dried fruit.

Take care and best wishes.

:-) :-).
