Gonna be a busy week folks....
Packing, dates, work stuff, moving stuff, birthday brunch......recovery:) Yep, lots on the agenda to look forward to. On the diet front, I'm doing really great. I haven't hit a bump in the road and my energy levels have been surprisingly good. This is a sample of what I'm eating:
Am-recovery protein shake/black coffee
Breakfast veggies/eggs with olive oil
Snack fruit/few Almonds
Lunch-salad/veggies/turkey/almonds
Snack veggies/tuna/olive oil-teaspoon almond butter
Dinner-roasted veggies/fish/some berries
1 tablespoon almond butter
4-5 liters of h20 daily
Ok Paleo Peeps, do we approve???
I had a tough workout yesterday and was concerned how my energy levels would hold up. The workout was:
20 warm up walk
5 rounds of:
21's with 40-45lb bar
20 tri dips
20 in/out abs
20 reverse crunch on bench
Then tri kickbacks
Abs with med ball
Leg raises
Hammies on the ball
1 hour of spin
energy was awesome! This leads me to believe that I was closer to zone/paleo before than I thought. The biggest thing was cutting oatmeal/fiber one cereal and sugar free crap!!!!! I might be wearing my black pants that were too tight a few weeks ago:)
Woot!!!!!
I can totally do this! Today's workout is an easy peasy 1 hour power walk since my body is JACKED up from Sat Kettle Bell!

dark chocolate can help those workouts!
Barb...there are so many conflicting theories on proper nutrition. I'm curious why the diet you are following eliminates oats, legumes and sweet potatoes. I've finally incorporated these back into my diet along with lots of whole foods and veggies and I'm seeing incredible results.
Cal...Thanks for stopping by. I'll check out your blog for sure:)
Tiff...WELL, I always see good results when dairy is cut but this is my first time with no gluten. Honestly...I am giving this a true 30 day shot and if it doesn't work so be it but if I don't try, how will I ever know:)?
I can't wait to see you in a bikini next August.
Keep up the hard work and best wishes to you as always.
You're doing brilliantly.
:-) :-).
