Time to Revamp

Babs needs a goal....I'm goaless here in Austin and it sucks!!!!

Timw to dig down deep and ask myself what the heck I want? Full Marathon? Eh...not really, I like my knees. Tri...or Duo...maybe?

Figure Comp...not sure, it's still very much on my mind.

Need a goal......need a goal.......

well don't do a full marathon then, do something like a 10K.

You get a good 6+ miles, and it shouldn't be too taxing on the joints.

Take care and best wishes :-) :-).

I can't run cause my joints won't take it... Do something bike related maybe?

I need a goal too.
I'm stressed, sad, depressed all at the same time as being really happy.

How about one not about exercise? Go to one, just one, open mic night.

I would say a 5k or 10k, although another blogger friend is doing a half marathon and it is her first. She has very specific training that includes walking for one minute after running every 4 minutes. Seems to be working for her.

A Duathlon wouldn't be bad either. If you are a good open water swimmer, go for the Tri.

As for figure comp??? I am still sitting on that fence, but maybe about ready to jump off....

Thanks guys...I have done 2 1/2 marathons and enjoyed them. Plan to do another in Feb 09

Maybe an Adventure Race or muddy buddy..something outside my comfort zone.

Matt thanks my friend..I think mayy someting different like biking??

BTE..I know you want me to sing..i hope to start doing kareoko again and maybe then get some guts...I'm WAY out of practice.

Ariel..:( I don't want you sad EVER!

Stef..story of our lives right..?We both want to compete but the aftermath aka darkside might really really suck and getting there is pretty dang tough in itself..oy.

I am the same way. I have to have something or I just stand around with my thumb up my ass.

Yes a bike thing would work for you, or perhaps something like fell running, not flat running, or maybe just if you're going to bike, set yourself a target of 80-100 miles a week, and see how that goes.

My best friend has done a few mud runs in CA and LOVED them! Does a duathalon entain biking and running? If so then that is RIGHT up your alley! I would also recommend a triathalon. Though I don't know why I would recommend one because I havne't done one myself..only a half marathon, but you're good at biking and running so that's 2/3's the battle right there. :)
